Why are the numbers so small for the tire pressure?

I don't think the tire pressure numbers on the sides of tires should be huge but jeez they could make them a little bigger.

What do you think?

I don't know as I never read them. I just do 2.2 at the front and 2.5 at the rear or more if I am carrying weight.
