  1. the dont come bet works that if you have odds on your dont you must but the inverse amount for example take the 5 on a come bet you would play 12 dollar minimum to get 18 dollars a dont come bet you would play 18 dollars to get 12 . While the chances are good that a 7 will be rolled its worth it to the casino to risk the single roll in exchange for the chance at bringing in more money. BTW the house has the advantage if your dont is 6 or 8 since there is a 6 to 5 in favor of one number (7) the odds that you lay make for a slight house edge. One who plays dont with no odds is playing a smart game with a very low house vig. the lowest odds in the casino? Baccarat player in that game the rules are set up so that bank is favored but only by .19 of a percent for playing that advantage the house takes a %percent vig.

It is primarily psychological. The casino wants everybody to win when a seven is rolled on the come out roll. When everybody wins the whole table celebrates and draws more players.

A secondary reason is that most come betters would want to turn off the odds on a come out role, so by making that the default saves time.

Since neither the casino nor the player gains a statistical advantage from these odds bets, there is no statistical reason for it. I have already listed the other reasons.
