  1. Because JWs think they will rule the world after civilization falls. One JW has benn telling me that their church is teaching that Obama will get elected this year because it's part of God's plan to destroy America.

  2. They think God's kingdom is all theirs.  They are in the hall leading to the kingdom.  Like the painting of the *stairway to heaven*.  Very interesting answers.  I will wait and see what answer you think is correct.

  3. You have to have something different when everyone else is wrong !

EDIT: It's an old question but, I still have people ask why Kingdom Halls don't have windows.

JWs are told that during the Great day of Gods wrath it will be a place of hiding and the lack of windows will prevent the dieing from seeing in and from the JWs seeing the horrible suffering outside.

There are many pictures in Watchtower publications that portray this great wrath of God on christian Churches and non Jehovah's Witnesses !

  4. What Vot said. OvO

  5. Can you really not reason this out for yourself?  Does the phrase "Kingdom of Heaven" mean anything to you?  A building is also a "hall".  Can you really not reason this out for yourself or are you being purposely dumb?

I'm not a supporter of religion, myself, but COME ON!

    .

  6. Because we learn about God's KINGDOM there

***‘Why do you people call your building a “Kingdom Hall”?’ I replied that the very first meaning given in my dictionary is: ‘Hall: an edifice devoted to public business.’ Our Kingdom Halls are devoted exclusively to the business of the Almighty God and his kingdom. So, there could not be a more appropriate name.” -W. L. Pelle

***According to Domenico Finelli, the first Kingdom Hall was built at Roseto, Pennsylvania, in 1927, and he says that it “was inaugurated with a public talk by Brother Giovanni DeCecca.” However, the general use of the name “Kingdom Hall” came into vogue from 1935 onward. During that year, the Watch Tower Society’s president, J. F. Rutherford, visited the Hawaiian Islands and initiated the establishment of a branch office in Honolulu. Arrangements were made for an assembly hall in connection with the branch building. This auditorium was designated “Kingdom Hall.”

  7. Hi Vot, ok I'm going with your answer. Waves to all.
