Why are the purses cheaper at a Coach outlet?

I got a new bag from a Coach Outlet and it was originally $320 or so. I got it for somewhere around $150 + tax. Not bad...

But i'm wondering why the purses at a Coach Factory outlet are cheaper than in regular Coach stores. Is it because they're out of season or older? Are they still REAL and not fake?

It's because if you buy from a Coach Oulet store, you're buying directly from Coach so they cut out the middleman and that expense.  But, if you're buying from Macy's, they would be considered the middleman, and they get a cut of the profit, so it makes the price be higher.

They are definitely real.  I'm not exactly sure why they're cheaper there, but I think it may have something to do with the difference between an outlet and a store in a mall.  Like at the Nike store in Chi-town the shoes are unbelievably expensive, but then you go to a Nike outlet and they're not so bad.  I dunno, maybe ask someone that works there.

Yes, they are authentic, otherwise it would be illegal. Coach Factory outlets always sell authentic items. They are cheaper because they are from last season and the stores need to clear out inventory to make room for new season items so they send them to the outlet. They also send them to the oultet if there is something wrong with it like wrong sticthing or tagging but its usually not noticeable.

Yeah, they're left-overs from last season. They're real, it's like the Adidas outlet store or Nine West outlet store.
