I don't think they are.  I saw rows and rows of it yesterday - in tins - at the Asian Market.  Hundreds of tins.   I never even knew it came that way - I thought it was only sold fresh.

They are using it to supply underground bunkers in preparation for the fall of civilization due to global warming and the upcoming World War.  Trust me.. I have inside information.  Personally, I'm supplying my underground bunker with spam and oreo cookies.

cuz russians are greedy, look at how much land they have in thier country. they don't even use most of it!

http://www.alibaba.com/ Sorry, I could not find a single request for corned beef in Eastern Europe. I don't think the Russians are scrambling to buy it. Maybe she is aware of something we aren't. However, I think it might be a rumor to justify the higher prices.
