Question:

Why are the so-called defenders of the Constitution constantly trying to silence free speech?

Liberals and Obama supporters on Yahoo Answers will report questions which are NOT in violation of Yahoo Answers just because they don't agree with it. Every violation I get - it is overturned after appeal and then hopefully they're not allowed to report people again.

Meanwhile, anti-Bush or pro-Obama questions that are in clear violation never get reported by the conservatives on here.

Also, on Youtube have you noticed that on Obama's official account, the comments are filtered, they only allow very Pro-Obama comments to be posted and on John McCain's youtube account, they don't censor any comment?

Why do you think that is? The people on the right, who have heard plenty of anti-Bush and anti-war comments over the past 8 years - we are still tolerant of others speaking out. Do you see it that way also? Why does it seem the left wants to censor free speech which is in the Constitution?

  1. Republicans have MILLIONS for their Swiftboat Lies.  And Republican Lies can be fun, but we're sort of sick of them now.  There's no talk about policy or disagreement over how things should be done - there's just a river of nasty, ugly lies which come out of Republicans' mouths.  Everything is exploited toward this end.

Where was it again that those poor republicans didn't have enough 'free speech"???  The billionaire press guarantees that Republican lies are well received, documented, passed around, repeated over and over and over.

  2. They are only for free speech when it's agreeable with their own beliefs. But pretty soon, none of will have the luxury of the 1st amendment:

  3. Understandable, I guess. I haven't been here for the past, I'd say half year due to college, so I can't much argue what's factual and what's not. What I can say is I've come across about 7 conservative trolls, (not like the liberal trolls are any better) one, in fact, with an avatar in blackface. So you tell me, what is deserving of being reported.

Just so you know, Since joining in 2006, I have considered reporting often, but only in particularly offensive, by which I mean racist incidents. However, I have yet to actually do it. And I hope to keep it that way; reality and honesty are a much more effective pacifier than some report button.

    Peace out, Dark Angel.

  4. I totally agree with your observations.  I think it's amazing how willing to silence opposite points of view the Obama camp is.  I've been around a long time (ahem!) and I can't remember a time when one point of view was so angry and hostile and bullying and intolent of the others, during a campaign.  It's depressing.

You can add to it the behavior of the libs in Congress and the Democratic Party -  they have bullied delegates showing any support for Hillary to the point that one in Colorado sued the national party last week for harassment.  Amazing.
