  1. and Survey says! ..... YOUR FULL OF IT!

could we have some sources please? cause id be happy to cite you china, or korea, or even canadas socialized health care

  2. You don't get around much I see.

  3. Because they have their heads in the sand.

  4. Prove it. Name your sources. Give us more than your uninformed opinion.

  5. Government must not take care of people.  People take care of themselves.

Socialist countries ration health care and sometimes people die waiting for vital surgery.

  6. Because the sad fact is that the majority of almost every country in the world is not rich. In socialist countries what's mine is also partly yours. Socialist countries pay extremely high tax rates. These taxes go towards caring for those that can't care for themselves.

In turn when a happiness pole come out the majority of the country feels well cared for which relates to a high happiness rate. In contrast in capitalist countries like the US the poor go uncared for and as they make up much of the country they effect the overall happiness of the country greatly in a negative manner.

  7. Sure they are. Perhaps you should move there, see ya later alligator.

  8. They smoke a lot of weed.

  9. When you said it, and it magically became true.

Seriously, that may be your opinion, but you must have formed it without much information. Traditionally Socialist countries repress their people. The economies rarely thrive because there is little to no incentive to do well, or perform exceptionally.

I can only assume from your lack of detail and bald, arbitrary statement, that you have based your assumptions on such countries as the UK, Canada, France, and other modern socialized nations. A socialized nation is quite a bit different that a socialist country. Perhaps that is a distinction you have yet to learn. A socialized country may have socialized or government funded health care, but the nationals of that country still have the right to vote and participate in their government. In a socialist nation or a communist nation, health care may be covered, but individual rights are very limited as the need for absolute control by the government becomes a primary goal to obtain national security from the country's own populace.

As far as socialized medicine is concerned, as nice as it may be to think of it as free health care, it truly is not. It will come out of our paychecks directly and through our taxes indirectly. Not only that, but one of the reasons the quality of American health care is the best in the world is because it is a privately driven industry. Private industry always strives for more, always tries to reach the next level because they are in competition for business, just like any other industry in a capitalist society. In a socialized medicine scenario, funding is often too tight to allow for R&D to propel medicinal discoveries further. True, what Obama wants to do is only partially true socialized medicine, but the less socialized it is and therefore better for the industry's advancement, the more the cost comes directly out of each individual's pocket and becomes simply forced health care, rather than socialized health care

  10. All of you people using 'communism' and 'socialism' interchangeably are absolutely nuts.

To answer your question, in countries with more socialistic tendencies, people tend to be 'happier' because the governments actively work to shrink the gap between the rich and the poor.

If it weren't for socialism in America, there would be no roads, no cross-continental trains, no public schools, no police, no military, no product safety regulations, no patents, no airports, etc.

America is a 'mixed economy' which means that it's part socialist and part capitalist. Without government intervention, this country would have crashed and burned a long time ago.

Communism does not work as a type of government, but you will never see an America without socialism. If you despise socialism so much, please don't drive on the government's roads, use the government's public transportation, or fly out of the government's airports. Go create your own 100% Lassiez-faire island nation, and see how it goes.

If you don't have the means to do so, let me tell you how it would end up: one company would end up owning every aspect of the private sector, and everybody would be working for this company - the largest the gap between the rich and the poor can get. That's the indisputable fate of pure capitalism.
