  1. i no it is soo annoying ...

I wish that healthy foods were tastiest and the cheepest as well ...

  2. Because God hates us and wants us all to suffer eating salads.

  3. it goes back to the cave man days when we craved stuff that was essential but hard to get hold of i.e sugar, salt and fat. The only problem now is that it's all readily available and we don't know when to stop eating it.

Sorry..no one here is going to convince me that nuts, berries and yogurt taste better or as good as steak, chips and icecream.

  4. i wish...

    its so unfair lol

  5. ANYTHING GOOD IN LIFE IS EITHER ILLEGAL, IMMORAL OR FATTENING!!!

  6. Healthy foods are the tastiest. Unfortunately we can not appreciate a fruit picked at its peak, so full juice and flavor, because we have opted to have a Pepsi/Cola instead. And the creamy fat texture of an avocado in a guacamole dip with zesty spices, has been replaced with mayo on a hamburger. If we were served healthy foods when we were young, we would think all this junkfood that we eat now, is actually junkfood!

Though we can give credit to the French. There idea of tasty foods has sugar and fat (can you say creme brulee?), but they have very small portions. Like you eat only for the taste of the food, not to fill your stomach up!

  7. It's the fat and the sugar that enhances the taste, that's the problem!  Poor old Nature and her flat foods don't stand a chance!

  8. They put preservatives in it

    that's why its so yummy

  9. Fat and sugar produce taste.  It's as simple as that.

  10. i love eating healthy foods and they can taste just as good if you know how to spice it up and season it!

but it takes time to change your tastes to you would have to stop eating fattening and sugary things for a few weeks  then good foods will start to taste better!

  11. It's probably something to do with high fat foods taste good so we hunt them out when we lived in the wild.

  12. i always used to think that

then i discovered yogurt, honey, nuts such as pistachio, peanut, walnut, bananas, oats, soya, roast vegetables

seriously, returning to the natural state of foods really brings out the deliciousness.

for eg. freeze a banana, blend with 200ml milk or soya milk

it is like a icecream milkshake only tastier thicker without adding any more icecream and healthier!

strawberries and raspberries, honey and a drop of yogurt stired in

    wholesome banana and walnut bread

peanut butter and jam sandwich on wholemeal bread

creamy milk oat porridge topped with sliced banana and honey or maple syrup

    fruit juice-refreshing

    fruit smoothie-lush

    avocado-satisfying and yummy

    roast vegetables-sweet and tasty

    nuts and dried fruit

    both sweet and savoury

    veggie curry

    spicey and sweet and lovely

    wholegrain rice and bread rolls-yum!

  13. i agree... it SUCKS!

  14. Fat and sugar have a bad press, but you need both fat and sugar to live.

DART - "creme brulée" may sound French, but the dish is British. It was given a French name by a pretentious Cambridge student, who burnt his custard. He could not tell his friends he was serving them burnt custard, so he named it Creme Brulée, which of course is French for burnt custard.

  15. It's often the case that people find unhealthy foods tastier, but it's not always true.  There's been a lot of talk about "umami" recently.  This is considered to be the fifth taste sensation. It's currently a fad in New York restaurants apparently, but Heston Blumethal was writing about it years ago.

The umami taste includes things like mushrooms, tomatoes, and various sauces made from fermented fish - including Worcester sauce, which is made from anchovies.
