Why are the yankees starting Darrel Rasner on Friday?

Its getting way to late and we need to catch up with boston and tampa bay.

Rasner is facing the team he suxed against last time (but the red sox as a team suxed against them even more 0-8 last 8 games vs. angels)

Dan Giese pitched well in relief for Rasner. And Ian Kennedy is 3-0 in 27 ip with an ERA of less than 3 in his last 4 starts in AAA.

WHY do we still start Rasner it is getting way to late?

  1. I have no idea to be honest i, heard they will give him another shot if he fails then we will bring up Kennedy and give the kid a shot

and i heard that Hughes and Pavano could be ready before september ends

  2. I guarantee you that Rasner does not start Friday. The Yankees just don't want to tip their hand (to their opponent) as to who will be starting (plus the Yankees haven't decided who will be replacing him in the rotation)

  3. The Yankees are weak with their starting pitching with Rasner and Ponson filling the 4 and 5 spots.

They still need pitching help after the trade deadline, and I have a feeling that they still have their eyes on AJ Burnett of the Blue Jays.  As long as he's cleared waivers, he's still up for grabs until the end of the month!

  4. maybe because he is getting a pay check and has to try and earn it. being that you think you have the now how of a major league manager. can you tell me how many of the STARS in the majors never had to have someone give them a chance before they took the league by storm

  5. They need pitching help and sometimes teams bring up pitchers to give them a chance to get experience.
