  1. I'm an American and I read about all the issues you stated, plus a lot more.  Maybe if you had a glass stomach, you'd be able to see out since your head is so far up there!

  2. its all about the media homey!

  3. They are no more important than any other nation - it is just that they are brusque, objectionable and just happen to have taken all the German/n**i technology and built a big empire at the moment. The media are well known to cow tow to influential people and so you hear a lot about the yanks.

Don't let it worry you - every dog has it's day !

  4. They are not, but because they chuck their poxy dollar all over the place they have the ability to distort the news. Recent example Georgia, last big one was invading Iraq because they had weapons of mass deception. They are wankers and talk boll*xs. So far up their own jacksies that I doubt they can see daylight.

  5. It's because the rest of the world is so strongly influenced by the American Media. Fox owner Rupert Murdoch owns newspapers and stations in Ireland, the UK and Australia and other countries I can't remember.

Think of all the multinational corporations where you live and count the number of them that are American owned and you'll get your answer. I'm in Ireland and everyone here (everyone I know anyway) is fixated on the upcoming election because of the impact it will have on us.

  6. Ask your own news media about it.

Also, here's a question for you. Why is it that European news outlets (at least the UK and German ones I've watched) are so slanted to the left? Here in the United States the liberals and conservatives are at each other's throats. But in the UK it's ALL liberal talk all the time and if you aren't P.C. then you aren't on air.

I also noticed that the british seem to be worse for spreading rumors and filth about people than the americans, by a large margin. There are way more Tabloids in england than there are in the U.S. even though our population is much larger.

And seeing that British and Irish people seem to always be on public forums talking trash about Americans, could it be that you all need to correct your way of thinking?

  7. Ask Rupert, he's the Aussie that owns the news.

  8. YANKS are KN OB heads   thats y

  9. You write like a four year-old.

  10. I think you will find that the Dominican Republic doesn't control much of the media but America does.

  11. Look in the real world.

Decode this lyrics " All Rise"

With the "Big Boy's game in town?

    Leviticus 19.32

    What do you think?

  12. As a nation, we have sided with the USA both economically and politically since the end of the 2nd World War.  Indeed the realistaion that Britain was not a world  super power came even earlier than this, when Britain recognised that it did not have the military power to win the 1st world war without support from the USA.  Since then, Britain has been (literally) in USA's debt and has followed them around like a lap dog ever since - in the belief that siding with the new superpower would be the best policy.

The FTSE acts as a mirror to USA, the foreign policy is identical to that of the USA and the military is in hock to the USA.

As a country, we have become more and more transfixed with their internal politics (McCain, Clinton, Obama, Palin), their TV shows and even their weather.  A person with no geographic knowledge of the relative positions of the two countries would believe that the USA and Uk were neighbours and that France, Germany, Spain were thousands of miles away.

It is depressing when the main items on the news are internal American politics or weather events that might transpire, but really the growth of 24 hours news channels with lots of time to fill has a lot to answer for this.

Why it has so much coverage in the Times/Telegraph  when Europe does not, is a mystery to me.

  13. Because a lot of Americans were originally from Europe and we like them.

  14. A Yank is important because it exercises your arm in the morning and helps to release sexual tension!
