Why are their so many Manutd fans on yahoo answers (in this section) ?

U cant even ask a question without 10 or more manutd fans having a rant about how their champions or some next b/s.

Do they just say they support Manutd then at the week ends go back to supporting their league 1 teams... i kno how these days anyone can say they support Manutd but u never know if its true or false....

Well next to SL Benfica of Portugal, ManU has the second largest number of associates (registered paying supporters) in the world. I'm not saying everyone on here are paying to be official supporters of ManU, but they are one of the world's most popular clubs.

They won the double and feel big but I can guarantee you they will feel small next year. We all watched the draw against Newcastle.  Was that a team of champions?  I don't think so.

I don't support Man Utd. I support Liverpool and Barcelona...I guess your right though since Man Untd. are teams that are shown here in the states....

It's easy to root for a winner; that's also why there are so many Boston Red Sox fans here in the States. If ManUtd goes through a dry spell, the so-called supporters will disappear back into the woodwork.

they are all casual fans.  man u has a lot of star power, so people that dont know a lot about soccer will follow the hot players, especially americans.  that is the culture of american sports (alex rodriguez, kobe bryant, lebron james, peyton manning)- heck, it's the reason david beckham came to the us

Probably because it's the team with more fans in the world. Anyway, they were champions so it's more likely to see fans from current champions  (bragging rights) when my team loses, I stop talking about footie for a while- too depressing!!!

I also am a real Man United fan.I've been supporting Man United for 16 years and have been supporting them through thick and thin.Even if Man United win nothing this season,I'll still stick with Man United.And I'll continue supporting Man United till death.

Man U is the Dallas Cowboys of English football.  Their fans like to talk trash, and say that anything that happened before the Sixties doesn't count, and ignore their players' thuggishness and other naughty behavior.  But come into their place and make it one-nil to you and they get real quiet.  And if they fall apart, they disappear.
