Why are their so many goals scored in the all star game in hockey ?

Because the game is for fun, and nobody really tries. They don't want to hurt anybody in the All-Star game. That would just be stupid.

Because most of the defensman are offensive minded going up againts world class forwards, goalies dont have a chance

It's an exhibition for the fans, so less emphasis on defencive play and little physicality. Give the other team enough open ice, even the best goalie can look like a sitting duck.

Since it's an exhibition game, it's not as aggressive defensively as a regular game.  And when you get a team stacked with offensive talent like in an All-Star game and nobody really plays defense, you're bound to have high scores.

They dont really play by the rules. if there is a penalty they contuniue playing. plus theres alot of great players put together.

The all star  game is played as an exhibition. It is mostly for show and fun. They rarely play any real defense. Not to mention all the great players on the ice at the same time.

No one hits. No one backchecks. Other than goalies, no one blocks shots. Every player gets equal time. The coaches don't match lines. Few checking forwards get invited to the all-star game. It's a meaningless contest and no one wants to get injured and miss real games.
