  1. They think  because pro wrestling is fake (and it is) that wrestlers are soft, they have an easy life, and they don't get hurt.  Wrestling is a hard business, and a harder lifestyle which takes a toll on people physically, mentally, and spiritually.

And yes, there is the whole issue about him coming into the UFC unproven and making a huge pile of cash without having proven himself as an MMA fighter yet.

  2. People hate him because he was a pro wrestler. Now hes a big name without accomplishing anything in mma. Kinda like some people hating Kimbo. But I think Lesnar will be a champ if he sticks with it. Hes stronger and faster than almost anyone. Frank Mir was a bad match because of his jujuitsu. But I bet on Mir so I was happy.

  3. Brock is a tremendous athlete with an impressive wrestling pedigree, but those kind of fighters are a dime a dozen in MMA and the rest of them don't get the same sort of push that Brock's getting in the UFC. Getting submitted by a fat and mediocre Frank Mir doesn't indicate to me that he's a "force to be reckoned with" any more than Jake O'Brien laying on Heath Herring for three rounds did.

  4. I don't know myself why mma fighters hate him...only thing that comes to mind is that he was a pro wrestler meaning its scripted. but he has an excellent amateur background and after his second mma performance and first ufc performance i was impressed with what he can do...his wrestling is top notch and with his size he has speed to go along with that and plus power he has the the tools already to get him to the top he just needs to refine those skills by training with some of the best mma fighters and learn some jiujitsu to go along with his wrestling and get better striking because he almost stop a former UFC Heavyweight Champ Frank Mir who has never lost his title he was stripped of it because of a motorcycle accident leaving the title to be vacated. I think Brock Lesnar can be a big face in the UFC in the future.

  5. These guys are right, it boils down to him getting far more attention than he has earned.  I will give him credit, and say he is an incredible physical specimen, but he is years away from being a top contender, and may never be.  He has a good amateur wrestling background, but as his fights have shown, he is still incredibly rough around the edges.

As far as legitimate fighters go, Brock is a long way from being considered a force to be reckoned with.  I don't know if there is a guy in the top ten heavyweights that he could realistically have a good chance of beating.

So, many mma fans think that people like Brock are just bad for the image of the sport. They turn it into a spectacle and take away from the development of the sport as a legitimate entity.

Now, I think he has potential, and enjoy watching him, but there is no way in h**l he should be a headliner.  At least not for the next couple of years anyway.

  6. Because he hasn't fought anyone in MMA yet he got bigger contract  then most veterans ....................

Does that sound fair to you????
