I may have a very limited experience, but when I buy a loaf of sliced bread my intention is to make sandwiches. Two slices of bread surrounding meat, and maybe some condiments. So can anyone tell me why there are an odd number of slices in a loaf of bread? Doesn't seem to matter who the baker was, the all have an odd number.
