  1. Those blue veins are completely normal. Everyone has them, it's just that some people's are more noticeable than others'. Some reasons why they are more visible can be due to the lack of excessive subcutaneous fat in the eye area, if someone has problems with sinus infections or chronic upper respiratory infections or if the person has lighter pigmented skin. The skin in this area is very thin anyway, but certain people may have even more thin skin here which results in the veins showing up more obviously. When a person experiences sinus infections or colds, these veins become more pronounced due to swelling. People with lighter skin complexions also have problems with these veins showing, especially as you age, since the skin continues to deteriorate as you age.

The best way to deal with these veins (non-evasively) is to wash your face with cool or cold water & apply ice packs to the eye area to reduce swelling. Use under eye concealer to help lessen the appearance of the veins and use protective eyewear (sunglasses & hats) when in the sun.

They now offer laser surgery for people who have extremely severe cases or for those who choose to remedy it through surgical means.

  2. Okay this is so not from a medical stand point but I have had them my whole life (family curse we all have them) I have found that if I hold ice cubes on them for a few minutes it help for a while. and to cover them if you dab your concealer and foundation on instead of smearing (got that one from Tyra) but it works

  3. i have that too. if they bulge out then they're called varicose veins, if they're just under the surface (like mine) then they're called "spider" veins. it's common to have them under eyes, back of the knees and palms of ur hands.the veins are due to poor circulation and it's more likely for u to have them if your parents have them / if u r a smoker. there is really no safe way to get rid or them, but u can conceal them with make-up

  4. If the blue veins under your eyes are in the eye socket area it simply sounds like you have fairly translucent skin and if you want to hide them, then use a concealer stick or foundation.

If the blue veins are actually in your eyes or within the inner bottom eyelid then go to the doctor.

  5. Haha, there's nothing 'causing it'. Veins are natural things that are everywhere on your body. Yours are just more visible than usual. There are not creams that will get rid of veins obviously, but you can use various kinds of make up to hide them.
