I was watching the World Series of 9-Ball today and noticed that the cue ball had about 5 black dots on it instead of being all white. Why is this?

  1. It's actually six red dots. It's the Aramith Pro Cup ball (or the measles ball), made for TV so it's easier for the cameras to pick up the spin on the cue ball. I use it for the shots on my site.
