  1. Why are you driving to the gym? Were you late for your spin class? There's something really silly about driving to the gym so we can ride a bike indoors. And something funnier still about someone complaining .... that they had to walk too far to the gym. Did that make you miss open space on the treadmill?

Be glad you can walk!! Some people using the handicapped spaces can't. But I bet they can benchpress more than you can, swim further ....

  2. Wow you're so ignorant ,should probably knock on wood.

  3. Have you never heard of physical therapy ???

  4. Even if they can't walk, perhaps they might go to the gym to work on their upper body, or go for a swim?  Perhaps they are temporarily disabled and going to the gym is part of a physical therapy routine?

How about those folks who are eligible for a placard that don't have a mobility-related disability?  People that are blind are often eligible for a placard.  People who have lost the use of both arms/hands are often eligible for a placard.

The gym could also potentially hire an employee that is disabled.

Now, granted, I think that five disabled spots for one gym seems like overkill... unless it's a really big gym... or has an unusually high number of disabled customers... or shares the parking lot with other business.

  5. In some countries it is required by law.  It doesn't make sense to you, since you're not handicapped.  But would you rather be, so you can use the parking space?
