Why are there more homeless and starving Iraqis than ever before (and over 2 million refugees)?

Question

Wasn't this war supposed to bring freedom to the Iraqi people? What's private companies doing with Iraqi oil that they have no business touching? Why aren't they letting the Iraqis do what they want with their own oil so that they can try to reverse over a decade of oppresive UN sanctions?

In case you don't know it, there is a war going on in Iraq.  Whenever you have a war, there is displacement, or didn't you know that?

it's because I've seen Iraqis how they dump their food on the ground not giving a hoot weather they'll starve in the future.

Because the surge worked? This war was never for the good of the Iraqi people. For most ordinary Iraqi's life was much better under Saddam who was an equal opportunity oppressor meaning women and Christians had equal rights. Now parts of the country are under sharia law and Taliban like gangs control neighborhoods with weapons they got from the Americans to fight al quaida.

The intention was to enslave and impoverish Iraq to give us slave laborers for the oil companies and other colonial masters.

The country is at war - there will be refugees and there will be deaths and destruction.

Please don't blame the country that is doing it's best to help the Iraqi people to have a free and independent nation.

The Iraqis are free to export their resources as they see fit - there are no longer any sanctions.
