  1. Everyone in Australia goes to church on Sundays, especially the footballers. God bless you my son.

  2. .

  3. it has been trialled and hasn't worked both crowd wise and ratings wise, the NFL do it successfully as that is there main day whereas AFL the marque day is friday so it has a totaly different culture following. I'm sure in the future this will change but people are like sheep and they stick to what they know best.

  4. Teams have to travel each week to games, and they need supporters to buy tickets to watch them. Now we have more teams in the competition, they play Friday night. or Saturday afternoon or Saturday night and Sunday daytime. If Sunday night games how many people would buy enough tickets to justify the cost of lighting, officials etc, when working or study commitments next day would keep people from attending. I think it all comes back to money, money , money.

  5. With most people having to work or study the next day, only the die-hards would be around. The AFL top brass would be looking at stadiums which would be almost 3/4 empty. Not a pretty sight eh.
