  1. I suppose, I'm piebald... I have vitiligo.

  2. My stepson is piebald, he was born that way, black hair with a big patch of white at the back of his head.

It happens, it's just more rare in humans.

  3. I suppose it's just the way we've evolved, seeing as a lot of other animals aren't piebald either.

  4. That's is such an odd term- don't you think?

There is a famous Australian tennis player- Patrick Rafter- that is piebald. I only known of him cos I was flicking through the channels and wondered why he had such an enormous dandruff flake. It turned out to be white hair.

  5. There definitely are piebald humans in existence, because my friend Graham is one! But it is rare, I know. I don't know why but have always assumed its because less of a human's surface area is covered in hair so less chance of it occurring.

  6. That is coat color. It can be due to mosaic effects; differing genes in alternate somatic cells are expressed. Or, possible the effects of incomplete dominance.
