Why are there no replays or highlights or recap video of the olympics?

Since im in the USA everything happens at night since China is 13 hours ahead of us soo i wake up the next morning and read results and see like a few pictures of the events but no video! No video on basketball or track etc

i didnt get to see the 100 meter super fast runner get the record

see much of usa bball unless i record it

youtube has no videos! espn has only pics...it gets super annoying when i cant even watch a 10 second race for cryin out loud

so am i not looking in the right place?

  1. You may be watching at the wrong times. On NBC, I saw about 30 million reruns from the past two days last night. They're definitely playing them. I remember being annoyed because I had already seen it, haha.


  2. NBC paid like $900 millions for the exclusive right in US. So other news organizations can't show any videos without their permission and this year for the first time, it includes the internet. So here in the US, u can only watch the Game on NBC and its sister channels such as MSNBC, CNBC ... Plus others may not want to do it anyway since recap may attract more audience for NBC. And NBC would like to show the best events in the prime time to help the rating. This means tape delay if necessary.
