I'll reserve judgement  (save my tears) on his wife until I see if she's a needy little woman clinging onto her husbands money and name or if she has the strength, self-respect and dignity to dump  the sorry SOB.

Is he shedding tears for himself? He could have walked the walk as all the others do when they get caught up. Perhaps there was more to be seen to come after this and he'd rather leave before more investigation is done.

However if that was all he was guilty for and wouldn't stand up for himself behind it, then I waste no tears for that...

you know at least he did not say that he did not have sexual relationship with the hooker. he could have done what clinton did and say that she only blew him......he acted classier than bill ever did and i as a man understand that if you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar, that youll have no other choice but to face the stinking music. i will not lose respect for him as a man

Wall Street never liked Spitzer when he was Attorney General because he went after a lot of white collar criminals. So there will not be tears shed for him there.
