Why are there no well known snooker players from outside the british isles?

Fair enough there's 1 or 2 but why are aren't there more great players from around the world?

I have played pool since I was 4.We had a table at home.I am now 36--and I've only seen one snooker table in my life.There is almost no snooker in America.No cricket either.Hard to be good when you can't play.

One should expect great players to come from Canada, India, or Australia. But, few US pool halls have a snooker table. Places are more likely to have a billiards (no pockets) table than a snooker table, based on personal experience.

How many great quarterbacks are from UK? its just not our thing

Canada should have more its played a lot up there I play it but its to long and kinda boring for me 9 ball is my game but i play 8

Kinda like I love Nascar but not much on F1 its all racing??

I love all Q sports but not crazy about Billiards either
