Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY =

gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and =

MOBIL.

If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce =

their

prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have =

to follow suit. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally =

millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! =20

Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll =

explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us send it to at =

least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least =

ten more (300 x10 =3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message =

reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE =

MILLION consumers.

If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends =

each, Then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED =

MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all!

(If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you =

have to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just

aren't a mathematician. But I am . so trust me on this one.

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out =

to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people =

could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days !!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did =

you!

Acting together we can make a difference.

remember that the infrastructure for gasoline has been built upon for over 100 years, starting in 1886 when the first cars were built. at that time there was also steam power, electric power, and even a few alternative fuel powered vehicles. gasoline won out because it was easiest to refine cheaply, and easiest to transport cheaply. even though new technologies are coming to the forefront today, it will still be sometime before we see a large number of alternative fuel cars on the road. remember that the automakers are in business to make a profit, and right now there is no profit in alternative energy vehicles. in order for the infrastructure to be built, the cars have to be on the road, and the cars have to be on the road before people take the plunge to build the infrastructure.

No fueling stations for them.  They cost many times more than a comparable gas, diesel, even hybrid powered cars.  The technology is unproven.

First re-fueling station second cost of hydrogen, third no clean efficient way to produce hydrogen.

The cost of building the re-fueling stations and all the equipment needed isn’t going to happen without cars that need them, and people won’t buy cars that they can’t easily refill, and car manufactures won’t build hydrogen cars if people won’t buy them.

Cost of hydrogen, people forget how much hydrogen we would need to power cars and even if you had small fraction of the cars on the road using hydrogen the cost of hydrogen would go way up.

Most hydrogen use very dirty technology  to produce hydrogen and use a lot of fuel to do it.

It's not practical because there are not filling stations for hydrogen etc...
