Why are there not more top black/Asian/Oriental swimmers?

Is it just down to the training facilities that are available?

i guess you're wrong about Asian and oriental because seriously most of the Olympic winners are Chinese and also i am a Lebanese professional swimmer guy but i don't know about black maybe simply because they have different body sculpture then we do, they have more heavy bones!!!!! MAYBE!!1

All the ones who can run, jump, or swim are in England or Canada.

There are a lot of black people who have problems swimming.

And asians would rather take a boat.

I've heard that white people tend to have a better body shape/type for swimming whereas black people tend to have a better shape/type for running...but that could be total boIIocks!!!  

I'd like to know too.

For the same reason that Asians do not like rugby, whites are poorer boxers, blacks do not play chess, orientals cannot run very fast, etc.    Some people are good at some things, others not.

Maybe they don't like swimming. Then again we did have Eddie the Eel at the last Olympics.

Their physique isn't adapted to swimming. Muscular people don't swim as well because they sink rather than float. As for Oriental people I guess they would be smaller than their competitors so don't have the same speed. They do alot of competitive diving/synchronised swimming though.

There are some extremely good Chinese swimmers - watch out for the Olympics!

I used to teach adults how to swim, and I remember one black guy coming along to lessons.  It was bizarre he floated in a completely different position to the white guys.  It is to do with bone density, ******* bones are more dense, I believe.

As for Asians, it tends to be a cultural issue.  Most people from an Asian background, do not tend to uncover much.  Even men tend to be very modest, even when uncovered, and I guess the thought of a pair of Speedos is a step too far!

because in other countries, they have less time for recreational fun. They have to work to support families earning so little. Its not like America where we the people have extra time  (example- binging on food; swimming)
