  1. The 3 groups were an early attempt to categorize or classify people.  It hasn't been used by scientists in quite some time.  It is clear to even casual observers that many people do not fall into one of the 3 original groups.

Today, studies of DNA have demonstrated that there are no discernable human sub-species.  Physical variations are only important in the socio-political arena.

  2. The types of ethnic skulls that you seem to be referring to are incredibly broad but there are more specific variations of  skulls used to classify ethnicity to a more certain degree.

  3. There are three TYPES of skulls, the ethnicity is not involved with the 'types', only the bone structure.

  4. Because there's more to ethnicity than bone structure, or indeed physical appearance period. Ethnicity is ultimately more about what culture you come from than your physical appearance, physical appearance just plays a large role because certain traits are more common among certain populations.

There is actually often more genetic variation between people of the same race than people of different races, which is why the races are not recognized as biological subspecies.

  5. I studied anthropology and physiology, biology and I've never heard of this before. Ethnic skulls. I could show you skulls that you'd not know where they come from, this can only be determined by a forensic anthropologist, what are your intentions here.

Are you speaking bout where they come from, Africa, Asia, or the Americas?

  6. Climate localization, and inbreeding. I know it sounds terrible, but when a people localize, who else are they going to procreate with? Nations with less diverse looking people, (swedes for example) show this a strong evidence.

  7. I believe it's Caucasiod, Mongoloid, and *******. It's something similar to these, and I'm looking them up now.

Edit: I was actually right, except it's spelled Caucasoid... plus there's Australoid. I think this has to do with race and not ethnicity(the skulls).

Notice this sentence on my 2nd source: "The term(ethnicity) is used in contrast to race, which refers to a classification of physical and genetic traits perceived as common to certain groups.[2]

Ethnicity is determined by common cultural, linguistic, religious, or territorial traits.(and not necessarily by one of the race groups itself).

Edit(2): I know my answer is kind of sporadic. Basically, ethnicity is a cultural thing, and race is a physical thing. They correlate with one another, but they're not the same. The skull differences are racial, and ethnicity are cultural differences.

  8. caucasoid, ******* and mongoloid. it is based on the origion of each race.

  9. there actually is a continuum of variation in all aspects of humans.  When experts speak of making guesses about a persons heritage based on skull morphology they are actually looking at a whole range of attributes and making an educated guess based on how certain traits typically appear, but there is not absolute ethnicity to skulls - or any other body part
