Why are there plastic bags on the trees?

i live in misssouri and in mexico, missouri there are lots of trees with plastic bags on them.. and also around other places but there are a lot in mexico.. why is this? thanks

It is probably from the wind blowing them into the trees. They dont actually grow on the trees.

In South East Asia, we have lots of fruit trees and birds and fruit bats and lots of insects. So they would protect the fruits by covering them in plastic bags.

this is where plastic bags come from these are the famous plastic bag trees you saw ,and there are trees that grow yellow bags and ,the white bags ,blue bag trees are more rare and usually only grow in the tropics

but seriously there are fruits inside the bags if you look closely ,

its how they grow the fruits and protect them from insects and birds as well as concentrating more heat for devellopment .

They are more than likely insect traps. They are used to help determine insecticide control measures near agriculture.
