  1. Rules are good for people to follow cause it is safe. It makes this society success, without rules, this society will have alot fight and killing. For example, when there's red light the car have to stop, cause it is for safe. when a person kill someone, he/she go to jail or death pently. So it taught people don't do those things and follow the rules.

  2. There are 1000`s of rules, which ones do you mean? Tax rules?

  3. If there weren't - the inmates would be running the asylum!  :)

  4. with out rules you would have no guidelines of right and wrong!

There for if you pissed me off i could shoot you and nothing would happen to me.. no jail no fines nothing

plus it gives us a way to be resposnible for our actions

with the rules I will think twice about shooting you... do i want to spend x amount of time behind bars? i have to be accountable at some point. is you calling me a brat worth it?

but with out rules i wouldn't care! and just kill you!

rules also gives us consistancy and deep down to it we all want to be a part of consisancey ...

or would you like to turn on  your favorite radio station and have them play a different formate when you wanted to here the formate your use to? how could you even find the formate you wanted to listen to if no one played by rules!

eg: lets say you like rock and don't like rap your favorte station 88.7 plays rock and you like rock but with no rules they wanted to play rap remember you don't like rap but the rap station is still playing rap not rock they want to stick with it!

and with no rules someone already jacked your mp3/ipod player.. and your cd's are gone because you didn't think yoiu would need them!

whatever you would get mad if you never heard the songs youwanted to hear!

    rules are needed!

    here is another!

if car dealerships didn't go by rules of safty they could sell you cars that fall apart or are not safe... so would you spend 20 grand on something that will fall apart in a week!  sounds like a waste of money to me!

i will say some rules are stupid to me but that don't make it stupid to you!

  5. because God made the world with the laws of love. if you break that law (any rule is based on God and is therefore given out of love), then you're breaking the love, breaking the relationship, breaking His heart. when you do that, you yourself end up getting hurt in the end because you are also made of love.

  6. Human beings are organized in societies which have rules to control human beings' behavior. Human beings must follow those rules in order to live in a organized society.

This question measures common sense in the Weschler Test that measures IQ. Common sense is a cognitive function.

  7. Rules are important because they are guidelines to what is acceptable and what not.  There would be no civilization without rules.

In societies there has to be a guideline--something that regulates the conduct of people toward each other.  Just think of it in smaller terms, in a family environment.  Mother and Father establish rules by which children have to abide.  For example, when parents tell their children that they cannot scream and yell at each other they are telling their children a (very important) rule.  It regulates the behavior of the children--and so this is one factor why rules are important.  The conduct between people in a society is better because of rules.  Since the children from the above example learn not to scream and yell at each other do they in turn get along better with each other and not fight with each other.  On a larger scale it creates the environment for a society in which screaming and yelling at each other is something that is not desirable, therefore people do keep their emotions in check and that in turn creates the same effect as with the children.  People get along with each other.

Another factor is the fact that rules also establish in a society what is considered a crime and what not.  Even though some crimes are literally based on the 10 commandments, others ore based on established rules.  For exmple, take the case where a older man has s*x with a young teen, say she is 15, he is in his 30's.  It is not acceptable in a society that has established the rule that s*x between two people of such an age difference is not acceptable---and so this is made a law.  The difference between a law and a rule is that the law describes what the rule is in a negative way, meaning it does state the terms of the broken rule as om "s*x with a minor" and describes a proscribed penalty the breaker of the rule has to expect.

Rules do establish a society:  For example, Hammurabi, who to my knowledge formed the first society known established the rule that "the strong shall carry the weak".  It was a rule of signifance, because this rule showed the responsibility of those who were strong.  Without the rules we would be living in some sort of anarchy, a society where every one could just do what they wanted to without having to worry about consequences.  Rules do establish a sense of accountability--to each other, to the neighbors, to the government--without rules we would only be a bunch of savages....

  8. Hi again Travis....

Sorry Pal, this one doesn't need a bulk answer, but you can play around with it if you want.

Without rules....people all over the world would do what they wanted, whenever they wanted.

    This is called Chaos.

With chaos, nothing gets accomplished, nothing gets fixed, No one gets healed.

It would be the end of society as we know it.

    Cya later.

  9. Rules are in place to protect the common, good--in essence, they are there to prevent people from doing harm to one another.  There are rules in games to promote and enforce fair play.  Our societal rules as well as most laws are there to prevent people from hurting, killing, or taking advantage of one another.  There are rules in marriage to ensure fidelity.  There are rules in business to promote fair business practices.  The list goes on and on.

Even though there are some seemingly frivolous rules (like the funny laws about spitting on the sidewalk that are still on the books in some places), most are still there to protect other people in some form (even if it is from something as minor as someone else's spit on our shoes).  Therefore, if rules are there to protect the common good, following those rules is important to keep society functioning correctly and ensuring that we are each productive and contributing members of that society.  Whenever we break a rule (for example, littering on the sidewalk), we cause someone else discomfort or extra work (they have to step on the litter, have to bend to pick it up, etc.).  Following rules ensures that we each do our part to keep society going.

  10. Where there are rules there is always people  in this world willing to not follow them.

Why have them at all is a good question to ask? However don't forget most of the  people who make these rules hardly follow them themselves.which is why we call them "hypocrites"

Like the members of the Roman Catholic Church to name a few...
