Why are there separate categories for social science & culture, etc.?

Question

I see that there are separate categories on Yahoo Answers for social science, society and culture and sociology. I thought that these categories are pretty much the same but perhaps somebody can explain the distinctions to me please.

Hi...I am a social worker with a background in psychology, sociology, cultural anthropology and philosophy...and they are all different studies
