You know, I'm sure all of you remember when powerpuff girls came out.

Well, throughout this month i can't help but notice cartoon network's commercials for a sequel. powerpuff girls 2 (or z)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO26Jn_bFkI

(you will have to copy & paste the link)

And as a guy, I just can't shake the notion that this looks just like sailormoon, .....a show nototiously known for its "fanserice" (i.e. sexual situations, s**y transformations) and numerous internet p**n content.

And now with the powerpuff girls dressed in skin tight outfits and the typical anime short skirts...it will only be a matter of time before this franchise as well is also overtaken by fanservice and p**n.

I mean heck when my daughter finished watching the first episode the end credits showed slideshows of the girls in bikinis!!!

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS DO THIS TO INNOCENT SHOWS???

Now i'm gonna have to get something else for my little daughter to watch.

I mean seriously, do the animators think the kids will be so naive as not to notice this?

Well i'm not taking any chances, i'm not gonna let her watch that; even if it means having her watch "transformers animated" instead, i know its a guy show, but at least it doesn't meddle with s**y content.

  1. because nowadays kids aint innocent and in the real world know about s*x when there about 6 soo

  2. Those cartoons are family cartoons. It may sound whack but that is how we entertain the adults with those hidden messages and innuendos. The kids are to young and uniformed to catch those. The shows want to appeal to everyone so everyone will watch them...

  3. Yes indeed. And it will just continue to get worse

  4. Well people who create and design tv shows make it so that i draws more attention so that more people can watch it and powerpuff girls is an old show so they tried to make it cooler by adding different types of clothes that someone would wear in this time. Not that im saying its good or anything, but they just tried to get more attention and viewers.

  5. Its a government conspiracy to make people from other countries come to America as a "tourist" even though they really come to see hot babes.

  6. Because these shows are made by adults.  Usually dorks with little or no social life.  These cartoons are visions of the girlfriends they wish they had.  It's really sad.

  7. Because perverted cartoonists get bored.

  8. when i was 4-10 or 11 years old i also used to see cartoons they showed on the TV, and when the girls dance in bikini or somenthing like that, i was NEVER thinking about s*x, or somenthing like that, but just after (12-13 years) i noticed that they made the cartoon-figures s**y, but before the childs will never notice that..

  9. i don't really have an answer, more of an adding to your point-

this is all the subliminal messgaes in spongbob squarepants.

its bad, but i like it.

  10. Well, many kids shows throughout the decades have meddled with some adult situations because they used to tell a story about morale.  And I have seen all the Jems, the Smurfs, the Bugs Bunny (a lot of adult stuff in there) as a child and enjoyed the entertainment and did not believe I ever saw something uncomfortable or dirty because it wasn't, for me, anyway.  We are all born sexual creatures but I feel we can overreact to what's in our corrupted minds and believe that our children are being corrupted as well.  Kids do not respond sexually to cartoons such as the Power Puff Girls but will respond sexually, often with embarrassment to things that are directly sexual in nature, in which can hurt if not properly guided.  That's the difference, I feel adults, as we grow older have a hard time understanding.  Take it from a former little girl, your daughter is not going to think on sexual terms about the Power Puff girls or any other cartoon unless there is direct sexual reference.  The only direct sexual reference she should have is you, as a parent, explaining why the trash you see on shows like Jerry Springer is not who you want to aspire to be like.  That will be the best s*x ed lesson of her life instead of trying to hide what you consider taboo.  It won't give her a good compass in her future personal relationships.

  11. i have the theory that since children don't know what it means it won't hurt them, so that allows them to do it for all the parents who are forced to watch those stupid shows with their kids, so the parents can have some entertainment too. that is why there is so much adult humor in spongebob.

  12. I don't know the answer to your question, but as for internet p**n taking over kids' shows, that happens regardless of how innocent a cartoon show is.  The internet is full of perverts, and I can guarantee that even "transformers animated" has p**n out there.  Nothing is safe from being turned into p**n on the internet.

  13. Because it's hard for adults to focus on EXACTLY what kids want. They aren't kids and every now and then they probably figure a little adult content won't hurt. It's like building character

    :)

And short skirts ain't that big a deal. I used to watch Sailor Moon but I didn't go beg my mom to buy me miniskirts. I just liked watching all the sparkles, lol

  14. We can thank Freud for that... and it's all over the place, there's no sheltering young girls from Barbie and Bratz and Anime... That's like not feeding them processed meats ('cause it's my theory that the growth hormones injected into cows that are slaughtered for their meat and sold in our grocery stores is the cause for girls hitting puberty at age 8...)

  15. there are a lot i notice here and there. one i remember is in spongebob i cant remember the exact scene but i;ve noticed some in that show and many other cartoons.

  16. i agree.

and certain movies have little sexual jokes in them too,

like in the bee movie, the mosquito or whatever he was starts talking about dating this other bug and hes like "THOSE CRAZY LEGS KEPT ME UP ALLLL NIGHT" and im like woaaah... lol i mean, jokes like that would just go over the kids headss but still.

  17. *Cries*

NOOO how could they ruin the power puff girls!

ugh this is like when the Rugrats went off and 'all grown up' came on..Grr...

  18. Psst - your daughter has a s*x.  If you have a son, he has a s*x, too.

They just don't know what to do with their equipment yet.

If you don't make a big thing about it, it'll pass right by them.
