Why are there so many British people on American TV and movies?

I am seeing a lot of Americans on American TV and Films. Not that it bothers me but have you guys noticed that there are so many Brits in our movies? Are there any Americans on British TV and movies?

British actors train hard and long and are generally better actors. they take time off from the movies to act on the stage. they are totally serious about their profession.

way more than you know I'm sure

even James T. Kirk is a canadian...

It's just good marketing to use actors from other countries who do their job well, we appreciate them as good actors, and people from their homecountries will watch the show out of pride for their countrymen

It's a win - win for the show producers...
