  1. I believe, especially since Viagra is the best selling drug in the world, that male impotency (he can't get it up) and enhancement products (he's got a little one) commercials far out number menstrual product commercials.

  2. Always follow the money trail: women tend to spend more money then men. Therefore, advertisers target women to spend money with them. $$ cha-ching $$ There have been studies that show the high percentage of women who control the money flow in the household. ♥ ∞

  3. They're ads that are specifically designed to make 10-year-old male TV-watchers blush.

  4. i dont see many of those, maybe one

and plus u dont understand all the pain!

  5. It may be gross but it's life, reality.

  6. I agree. The adverts are always on at dinner time and are about bloating, diarrhea, constipation, period pain, bladder weakness like these are all normal things and that these women chat about it in the cafe...

  7. Menstraul Cycles are inevitable, therefore, there will always be a need for the product.  They want the money, they want women to use their brands.  They know she will use it for up to 20 years, so of course they advertise.  "try this, its new", we do this better...blah, blah...they are geniuses.

  8. these things make women feel bad - very bad. that effects men.

  9. Because they suffer from such complaints

What is the point of your question?

  10. Gross is a part of life....and I guess companies can make money on it.

  11. If you think its really gross, try being us.  Now try being us without one of those cures.  And you men wonder why we are all so moody and bitchy.  Try not being able to fit into your jeans for 3-7 days.  Sweat pants are not s**y!

  12. I have no idea-I think the ED commercials are just as nasty, if not worse.

  13. When I first started having periods more than 36 years ago, there were no such products available. Those of us who suffered from cramps simply took aspirin and hoped it would go away. I should mention that what cured me of cramps was having a baby. I haven't suffered from them since. It almost makes me wish that I had done it some 10 years earlier than I did.

  14. It's a money spinner.

If men had periods, all that stuff would be free on the NHS. (That;s if we were all here in the first place. You're all such a bunch a sissys)

  15. Go ask your mother to explain it do you dear.

  16. Same reason their are so many advertisements for pimple cream and dandruff shampoo for teenagers ~ people want to sell their products.

    Cheers :-)

  17. those are womans issues and they feel strongly about them..We have mens adverts too..you know..the ones about cars, boats etc.

  18. It can't be that bad. How would you know? Sometimes it can be so painful you can't get out of bed.

I hate the commericals too, but we need that stuff sometimes. I always say when I am bending over in pain that it sucks to be a girl sometimes.

PS - It's not gross, it is natural. Unlike Levitra, Extenze, and Viagra.

  19. because women will always suffer from these things as they have since the dawn of time and chemists and their multinational, billionairre development and production companies know this and so keep churning out this stuff so that we keep buying it.... i mean come on... if one of these things actually worked the others would go out of business and there would be no more need for the ridiculus ads... its one big money making wheel!

  20. It is harding being a women with all the things we go through and some of these things help us and make us feel better. I think it is gross to see it all the time too but the companies are out to make money. You should watch the women channels or daytime soaps and see how many female products are on there. Too bad they don't have many products for men except foot powder, condoms and Viagra.

  21. Because it can hurt a lot, both physically and emotionally. When a woman is bloated and she can't button up her jeans, slip on a dress, or zip her pants up for a few days because of PMS, it can really bring her self-confidence down. I know that when it happens to me, I feel so helpless! But, it's just life. Bloating, bleeding, etc, is just a part of life. It shouldn't be shunned or teased, it's just a thing that women have to go through.

  22. It is very simple:

Women in the 18-50 year old group are the major consumers and the ads are aimed at their demographic. Due to that, it is more common during daytime TV and during shows that are particularly more likely viewed by women and/or certain channels such as Oxygen, HG-TV, etc.

The aim of advertising is not limited to promoting a product for a specific purpose but to convincing the consumer that they "need" the product because they absolutely must suffer from all the maladies that cause the product to be needed in the first place or that their life will improve simply by buying the product. This applies to Viagra as well as Midol. Both products have a market but mass-marketed brainwashing can induce larger sales by convincing those who have no need for it simply must have it or they are somehow 'abnormal'.

  23. I don't think it's gross.  Menstruation is something that happens to nearly 50% of the population (except pre-menarche and post-menopausal women).

I think it's very old-fashioned for men to be grossed out by periods.  I would expect it of a man of 70+ but surely younger men understand that it's a normal and natural process!

  24. Sorry dude they didn't ment to make you cry -_-

Seriously, is a huge market, a great problem for women and a great industry.

You are seriously starting to complain like a feminazi...

    Come on...

    What's wrong with being fat?

Why do men lie? Why do men cheat?

    Why is chivalrsim still here?

Why are there advertisements with women in bikini?

Why do men encourage rape by saying that there are false accusations?

Why are there songs about thongs?

Why is it that men __________?

    Why do men ___________?

    Do men think that ___________?

Stop complaining about useless trash, and try not to get offended by a sanitary towel.

  25. Because it absolutely sucks ***.

Guys just don't get it...and plus there's a huge market out there for a company that can produce a way for girls to avoid it.  It's traumatic for girls to try and put on a pair of jeans and not have them fit because you're carrying ten extra pounds of water weight. Lol, I know it sounds stupid, but it's upsetting...plus women are already experiencing a huge amount of hormonal problems, so that makes us think we're fat.  Then we get upset and eat about a ton of cookie dough ice cream.  And the bleeding sucks because it hinders what you can do.  It means you have to be careful how you sit, move, etc.  Think about how hard it would be to go on a family vacation and have to worry about going out on a boat because you might bleed too much and it could go through fabric and how embarrassing it is to deal with.  Whether you choose to realize it or not, it's a pain in the *** for women to deal with.

  26. Look, it's quite simple kid. Capitalism is a free market that makes things that are public demand. These are a major public demand (51% women population), so this is one of the marketing focuses.

Now I leave you with a quote by Bill Gates from his Time magazine article called "How to Fix Capitalism"...

"Many people assume, wrongly, that a company exists simply to make money. While this is an important result of a company's existence, we have to go deeper and find the real reasons for our being... people get together and exist as... a company so that they are able to accomplish something collectively that they could not accomplish separately-they make a contribution to society.

edit: I also totally 100% have to agree with Shiphrah on this. You are either really immature or just plain old uptight. For example: I don't find erections/cumming gross. Actually, turns me on. I think female naturality should turn you on if you are a guy/L*****n and if not, then you should be glad we have advanced so far from the stone age to help women out with this little thing so that they can do EVERYTHING men can do.
