Question:

Why are there so many earth haters.

I see so many people respond to environment questions with a negitive attitude. Calling people names for caring. Do people think it is "uncool" to care about the planet? Are people lazy, or uneducated on the subject. The evidence is out there that we need to do something to slow down the distruction of our home. So why hate on the people who do want to make the world a cleaner place to live?

  1. i just don't care...i mean, i know it's happening but it's not like if we could make a difference now

  2. I just dislike the self-rightous environazis that regurgitate everything that Al Gore says even though up until a year ago they didn't give two s**+ts about enviromentalism because it wasn't trendy and the media wasn't constantly bringing the subject up. For the record I am *not* and enviromental by any means. I say let people make their own choices, but expect backlash if you decide that everyone must know how green you are and how superior you are because of it.

  3. None of them hate the earth (a ridiculous premise in the 1st place), if they're like me they're simply tired of being lectured to by youngsters who keep parroting all the claptrap they're spoon fed in school.

  4. The people who are negative, are the people who are the ones with no education and no respect for the planet nor the creatures living in it. They are PROBABLY the type who don't bother cleaning up, or are just too stupid to realize that the envorment is important... they will learn as time goes on. Down the road, they'll run in to miserable conditions, and might ask themselves "d**n, why didn't i respect the enviorment!"

Focus on the people who are positive, the people who are willing to help clean up trash by a ditch, the people who are willing to do whatever they can to clean up Earth. For the ones who are negative, ignore them, and find in yourself: This Earth and yourself will find, once they're gone, it'll  be a lot easier ( i don't mean it like that)

Or try to educate the negativity in them, but be the leader, and lead the postivie ppls over the bridge to clean up the earth!

  5. Do you think that people hate the earth simply because they don't agree with global warming?  Is it possible to have an opinion without being labeled a "hater".  Some people just don't agree with all the enviromental jargon that comes out of these groups for various reasons.

  6. I don't believe they are earth haters.  I think they are either uninformed or just sick of what they call "hype".  Some feel their small contributions don't matter and therefore take no action at all.

Some people just have enough money so they can afford to not care.

I believe that with some, YES, LAZY is a factor.

Sadly many also have the attitude that these issues facing the planet aren't urgent, it will not be their generation that has to live with the consequences, so why care at all?

As a society we need to hold not only ourselves but all of humanity accountable for the mistakes we've made.

I don't believe the best way to do that has been realized yet.

Don't let them get you down, do your best to be green and hey, you can look yourself in the mirror and know that you ARE making a difference.  Every little bit helps!

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink~

(The evidence is there, but you can't open their eyes for them)

The people who MATTER don't mind when you rant about environmental issues and remember...

The people who do mind, DON'T MATTER!

They can take the brunt of accusation when our planet is ruined, and their future generations will live with that shame.
