Why are there so many people who say floyd maywether is so great adn would beat anyone in MMA?

I hear all the time that maywether is the G.O.A.T adn that he can beat any UFC or any other MMA fighter which is rediculus because he would get worked in a cage. even if it was just within weight class he would get worked by BJ Penn, Jens Pulver, Hermes Franca or kenny florian easy because you need more skill and awareness in MMA then Boxing, so why do you think, if you do, that he is the best and can beat any of those four people i mentioned or anyone else in MMA

none of these guys have the stiking and evasive abilities floyd does. but if floyd was to fight in mma with out take down defense. he would have to srike them first or risk being taking down, none of these fighters would even stand up with him( there not stupid), they would try and ground and pound or submitt floyed, and wich they would have a geart chance at. all the fighters you named are a h**l of a lot slower than floyed in the hand srikes area. if all these fighters fought in the opposite sport, floyd would transition a little better in mma than all the people you named transition to professinal boxing, floyed has been boxing since he was a little kid man. tim sylivia started fighting when he was 26 or so. he has a record of 26-6 with only losses to notable fighters wich is good. heres a fact chuck liddel, vitor belfort, cro cop, are all one demensional strikers who have done good in mma, why couldnt a boxer do good? i do love both sports. so im not being bias. floyed is making to much money 2 fight in mma.

When you watch an MMA fight, it's usually over after the first solid punch.  Knowing that Floyd is way faster, he'd knock out an MMA-fighter 3 times over before he hits the ground.  MMA guys just don't seem to be able to absorb the kind of punishment a boxer can.  They don't fight as long, they quit all the time.  We can't afford to have boxers in the MMA, as they'd probably end up killing the cagefighters.

In a true MMA match, all four of those guys beat Floyd. In a pure boxing match, Floyd beats them all.
