Why are there so many questions about broken down j*p bikes?

I thought all you plastic pony riders were sure that HARLEYs were the bikes that broke down. Sounds like the j*p bikes have the real issue.

PS all HD bashers admit g*y tendencies if they answer!

  1. Not cool man. You are just doing the same thing that you're bashing these guys for. But hey, it's a free country so whatever. I'm sure we all know that the Japanese make a quality machine whether it be a car or a motorcycle. I like my Harley but do not have a superiority complex about it.

  2. Back down, you're too proud, or something.

    Look at the questions carefully.

The real repair questions are mainly about old Japanese bikes. Resurrected antique stuff like I used to ride. They need to get fixed somehow. Most of those questions are from those willing to work on their own, like an old biker. Also, most of them are doing it for the first time and have no idea about model specific forums that give good advice. They come here, find out where the info is, and usually don't hang around much after.

Look at the other questions and what do you see?

A picture of a new piece of plastic next to a negative comment disguised as a question. Almost like you got going here. Kids poking kids for fun. Nothing interesting, usually.

  3. LMAO

  4. Come on now, I own Kawasakis, have ridden my friends Harleys enough to know they are good, dependable bikes, do all my own repair or overhaul work and am one of the first guys to defend Harleys when the Harley-bashers get on a feeding frenzy.

Personally, I take offense at you lumping me in with the narrow minded "j*p bikes are best, Harleys are c**p" crowd.  If you really want to know what I think, it's that you're no better than the Harley basher crowd.  Frankly, I expected better.

  5. shiiooooot might just as well throw that Harley in with j*p. Remember when Harley had most parts "made in Taiwan".

I'm really not against Harley bikes but I can't stand corporate BS that "USES" the American flag to over price there stuff.  Ride what you want just remember no matter who you run with will be more worried about $$$ then they are about PRIDE in anything.

  6. Why can't people just enjoy what ever the bike is that they own ,and give the same courtesy to others!!!!

I own a 1200xlr , not because it says Harley-Davidson,but because I love the look and the ride .

Its funny,  dudes that like the sporty catch c**p from the metric guys and the Big v-twin guys .

  7. Harleys inferior everyone knows it guy...compare a Honda RC51, Ducati 1098, Aprilia RSV1000R, and or Suzuki TL1000R's pure sound to a Harley and you would push the Harley off a cliff spontaneously. It's when people that are so wrapped up in Harley Davidson marketing boast about their bikes on Yahoo Answers is when people get mad.

Harleys make low power, at low RPMs. They can't even hang with 600cc bikes, let alone 1000cc or 1300cc. On the straights or curves. A 600cc will do 160mph. 1300cc unrestricted will go 200mph.

I ride an R1 because I like power, not laying back like I'm a f****s in my lazyboy rattling my brains out and bragging about my crappy bike to everyone in my office.

O WAIT READY GUYS?? If you bash j*p bikes you admit you're g*y!

UPDATE: Yes I wear pink...but don't get mad when you see a pink flash pass you when you're broken down on the side of the road though!

  8. Scott M best answer fa sho!

"PS all HD bashers admit g*y tendencies if they answer" LMAO reminds me of elementary school.

circle circle dot dot, now I got the cooty shot!

    I'm rubber and you're glue.....

Hey, wanna take the r****d test?  You failed!

  9. every thing breaks, harleys just break more often [pre evolution]

i don't wear pink but i love to eat it

  10. Oh, it's on, buddy!  Where are ninebadthings and Magz whatsit comments?  I see that you hooked one, tho, so good on ya.  I have only one inflammatory thing to add.  I've owned four bikes, the first three were Honda's and after a certain amount of mileage, they all developed bizzarro problems that NO ONE could fix.  The last one where the bike would shut off like you'd yanked the key out.  My current bike, Harley, yes, has given me far fewer problems.  So there it is.  Harley bashers will just have to deal

  11. Of course harleys never break down - with the average Harley rider putting about 1000 miles a year on the bike it'd take 10 years to wear out a set of tires!

  12. Nice Question, it maybe that many of the riders of these bikes tend to so some of their own work rather than just trailer the bike to the Harley dealership as many in the demographic that buy Harleys these days do.  Many of the older bikes on here that have problems are owned by do-it yourselfers.  Your comparison also lumps in dirtbikes which is unfair due to the abuse these things handle.

I have never had a problem with either of my "plastic ponies", both Hondas.  Both will kill any hardly in a quarter and absolutely rape a hardly down a twisty road.

Ride whatever you like for whatever reason you want, but you really cannot question the reliability of a j*p bike or the technology they put in them at a very affordable price.

As for playing pitcher and catcher, I'll leave that up to you village people wanna-bes in the frilled leather suits.

  13. Simple Fact. The price of gas is causing people to drag bikes out of sheds, barns, and garages that have been dormant for 10-15-20 Years. Yes they are going to have issues, gummed up carbs, dried out boots and gaskets and rusty chains and sprockets among other things. People are posting here because they are sure We  know EVERYTHING!

Harley's have their own issues but I'm not a Basher, How's that! :--)

  14. Your "PS" is cute.  What grade are you in?

  15. I really don't have an issue with guys learning to wrench on their own machines.

I just have a problem with all the do*chebags on Y!A that are so proud and defensive of their j*p bikes.

All they did was buy the d**n thing?  WHY SO PROUD??

I know, I know, turn-key Harley riders suffer from the same syndrome.

I'm sure a few j*p riders on here have built their own, but hardly enough worth mentioning.  Most of these guys realize that a honda that's thirty years old is a rareity, but for HARLEY it's COMMON.

I've built both my bikes - every nut & bolt, and mouse trap.  To all you wanna-be's and RUBS -  I don't mean the one behind the refrigerator.

  16. No bashing either way but i think most of us know what we want so we dont have to ask

we know how to ride so no lessons

And just simply we work on our own bikes and 40% of us can build a complete bike without a book they just dont for the mostpart work on their own like I said no bashing but some cant even find the plugs or air filter even the battery No biggie they just dont wprk on them so if the battery is dead its off to the dealer
