  1. If you had a ton of money, wouldn't you travel the world, live a little here and there.

Poverty is everywhere, US, Europe, etc, and besides what is your definition of poverty, not having a car? Well in Russia you don't really need one, public transportation is set up really well and grocery stores are usually near by. Not owning houses? Once again most Russian own Condos unless you're out in the country. It is a lot more cost effective to have a condo, try to heat up a house when its -35 Celsius outside.

So it really depends what you mean by poverty.

  2. As a russian i can say money is not happyness we are happy when with family and friends the poverty is over the top in media i do not live in russia i have been loads my girlfriend and i are moving to russia we resarched this kinda stuff and its exagdurated russians are happy with there lifestyle

  3. "Why is there such injustice in THIS country ?" - are you russian or do you live in russia?  if so, your question is rather ignorant, don't you think.  actually, my guess is that english is not your first language.  also, if you are not russian then why do you care?

in any case, the answer is simple.  modern day russian billionaires are a small number of shrewd people most of whom made fortunes in the early nineties via criminal and semi criminal means.  they essentially capitalized on the chaos and the associated corruption that followed the collapse of the soviet union and the abrupt transformation to capitalism.  simply put most of them simply stole what in the soviet union was the common property of all people, like large industrial plants, oil fields, etc.  some of them got killed in the process, others went to jail, others managed to immigrate and avoid prosecution and are keeping a rather low profile now, still others survived and are well and are enjoying life now.  that period of russian history is, however, over.

"How much is the average income and the minimum legal income in Russia, by the way ?"

legally minimal wage is a purely technical number used almost solely for taxation purposes.  in fact i even do not know what it is now.  there is no reliable statistics on actual average wage, as many firms still pay their employees at least a part of their salary under the table.  a rough estimate of the average wage in moscow is 1,500 USD a month.  the nationwide average is, of course, smaller.

  4. There always has been.  It goes back to the Feudal system.  Some things have changed, like who has the money, but the system made the country ripe for the advent of Communism in the early years of the last century!

In spite of Communism, the inequality remained, and still does.  Look at all of Russian history, and it will become more clear.

Besides, there's still so much poverty everywhere.  It's sort of what makes the world go around, some step on the others to get ahead.  We try to equalize it, but it's a very difficult task, especially when the ones who are trying to make things more even, are the ones who DON'T have the money or power!

  5. in Moscow

    Minimum - 3000 rubles (~125$) =)))

    average - 20000

But that's for people who have no higher education

  6. lol, why is there so much poverty in the USA?

  7. For the same reason that there are American billionaires and at the same time people living in the drains of the large U.S.A. cities, eating mice, only that in Russia poor people can cope without any need to find a shelter in the drains, or be restrained in miserable ghettos as the colored americans are forced to.

As for injustice, let's think of the tortures held in Iraqi prisons by american soldiers, not to mention Guantanamo, comparing to which the Ausvitz and the Dahau concentration camps were luxury resorts....

  8. Yeah the minimum wage is $100,000 an hour...........Really
