  1. cuz ppl lead away the muslims to believe different things , like umar and abu bakr did ,they made sunni

    shia follow sunnat muhammed(saww)

if he says to follow imam ali (as) as our mawla

then we follow imam ali (as) like muhammed(saww) said

  2. After the death of Muhammad, many argued that Muhammad had a successor or not. It was believed his successor was Ali, some did not believe. Also, others do not believe in Jihad as Holy Way, as the war can either be done with one self against the Shaitan or do not do Jihad because Muhammad is not here to lead us.

Many people had many differences. So there were then sections. But no matter what, we are still Islam.

Many things happen because Muhammad is not here to guide us anymore. We live in the most difficult of age, the world is sinful. We just have to wait til Judgement Day.

The important thing is to, be with Allah and follow Allah.

  3. Muslims are very sectual people.

  4. Because people abandoned the interpretation of the Salaf as Saalih they started to deviate.

Al-Qashlaanee said in his Tahreer al-Maqaalah min Sharh ar-Risaalah (36):

((The Salaf as-Saalih (the righteous predecessors) are those concerning the first ones who are deeply rooted in knowledge, the ones guided by the guidance of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), those who preserve his Sunnah, Allaah – The Most High- chose them to be the companions of His Prophet, and caused them to stand firm upon His religion, and is Pleased with them as the leaders of the Ummah, and they strove in the path of Allaah in a True struggle (Jihaad), and made them a council for the Ummah and benefited them, and they are sufficed in the please of Allaah to them.

Allaah praised them in His book with His statement:

((Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves))

    (Soorah al-Fath: 29)

    and His statement:

(((And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allaah and to please Him. And helping Allaah (i.e. helping His religion) and His Messenger (Muhammad). Such are indeed the truthful (to what they say)))

    (Soorah al Hashr: 8)

And The Most High mentioned the Muhaajireen and the Ansaar then extolled the following of them, and is please with that for those who follow them.

And he threatened with punishment for those differ with them and follow a path other than theirs, and He said:

((And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger after the right path has been shown clearly to him))

    (Soorah an-Nisaa: 115)

So it is mandatory to follow them in that which came from them, and taking their narrations from what they did, and seeking forgiveness for them. Allaah said:

((And those who came after them))

    (Soorah al-Hashr: 10)))

  5. What many of us do is make a list of 73 sects excluding our group from it. We forget to sincerely ask Allah for the guidance which we are asked to beg for it minimum 17 times a day in our obligatory prayer. Because by human nature, each one of us assume us to be guided while others to be mis-guided. In truth those who are guided by Allah are guided to Islam. Allah opens their breast to Islam. Allah makes them loving Imaan and good deeds to them. They finally reaching up to our beloved Prophet (pbuh) and the Sahaba (r.a) in following their qualities and their belief and preferring their ways above all others. Finally reach up to follow Holy Quran and Sunna of Rasoolullah and the best example of Sahaba (R.A). If look at Sahaba (R.A), they were more afraid of themselves than others. They were worried about their own escape of h**l fire but always hoped Allah's mercy. Though they knew better than us the Hadith of 73 sects,  they never used it as a habit to exclude others and disgrace other Muslimoon..How many of us have those qualities of a believer which Allah has mentioned in His book. So the guidance is from Allah.  Those who strive in the way of Allah for the cause which all the Prophets and our beloved Prophet (pbut) and his companions shrived for , He will surely guide them to His ways.

The Sahaba (R.A) were the people whom Allah has certified to be pleased with and just follow their ways who themselves followed our beloved Prophet (pbuh) in all aspects of life. Sahaba (R.A), are like shining stars, whomsoever follows them are guided and will be pleased by Allah as they attained His pleasure.

'And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph. (Holy Quran:9:100)

  6. I know what you mean theirs so many shiite , sunni, sufi. But, i think the most important to do is to do what's best for. If you see someone misinterpreting the quran, and things like that leave it to that person and Allah(SWT). I mean i wish we could tell all the sects that we are ONE UMMAH ya know. But i guess we'll just have to wait for the day of resurrection...

Peace And Love To My Ummah...............................

  7. Same reasons there are so many different denominations of Christianity

  8. The reason there are many divisions in Islam has to do with a variety of reasons. First, when the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) knew he was going to pass away he chose Ali, his son-in-law and cousin to lead the Muslims. However, when he died (the Prophet), there were certain people who chose a caliph and followed him instead of Imam Ali.

The Shia's (followers of Imam Ali) split into different denominations because they followed different Imams. For example, the followers of Musa Kazim (I believe that's his name) are known as Ithna Asharis (If my facts are right) instead of his brother who was chosen to suceed the previous Imam (Imam Nizar who was the right full heir to lead the Muslims).

The Nizari Ismailis are the only group of Muslims who follow an Imam to this day, the Imam Prince Karim Aga Khan is their spritual leader and the direct descendent of the Prophet)

  9. Because people stop following the Quran and Sunnah and follow their own innovations and desires.

He (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) also said, “Indeed, the people of the Book before you split-up into seventy-two sects. And this nation will split-up into seventy-three sects, seventy two are in the Fire and one is in Paradise.” [5] And in another narration, “All of them are in the Fire except one.” It was asked, ‘Who is that one?’ He replied, “That which I and my Companions are upon.”

    Hasan: Related by at-Tirmidhee (5/62) and al-Haakim (1/128) and others. It was authenticated by al-Haafidh al-’Iraaqee in Takhreejul-Ihyaa‘ (3/199) and al-Albaanee in as-Saheehah (no. 204).

  10. because each sect has its own scholar/lord and hadith books, which they follow..

  11. Because people deviated from Islam and created their deviant sects instead of following Quran and the prophet !

Allah told us to in Quran to follow the prophet (his Sunnah)

and the prophet when he told us about Islam will be deviated for 73 sects only one is Islam

he said the one which follow Quran and My Sunnah

so all the deviant sects you can see they are not following Quran and sunnah of the prophet for Example

Qadyinais(Ahmadis) folliwng their manmade prophet mirza

Raafidah(shias) they are following their manmade 12 Imams instead of the prophet

    etc

i will Quote for you some deviant sects

  12. Because Muhammed sall Allahu alaihi wa sallam said:  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€ÂœMy ummah is an ummah which carries out the commands of Allaah; those who let them down or differ from them do not harm them and they will keep adhering to this path until the Day of Judgement.”

Mu‘aawiyah and ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with them) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘A group of my ummah will continue victoriously adhering to the truth until the Last Hour begins.’”

Al-Mugheerah ibn Shu‘bah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) say: “Some people of my ummah will remain victorious over the people until the decree of Allaah reaches them.”

‘Imraan ibn Husayn (may Allaah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “A group of my ummah will continue fighting for the truth, and will prevail over those who oppose them, until the last of them will kill al-Maseekh al-Dajjaal (the Liar or Anti-Christ).”

From these ahaadeeth we may understand the following:

    (1) The Prophet’s words “A group of my ummah will continue . . .” indicate that this is a section of the ummah, not the entire ummah. This also indicates that there will be other groups and sects.

    (2) His words “those who oppose them will not harm them” indicate that there will be other groups who oppose the victorious group in the way they practice the religion. This also concurs with the hadeeth which describes the ummah being divided into seventy-two groups or sects who oppose the one group that is following the truth.

    (3) Both ahaadeeth offer glad tidings to the people who are following the truth. The hadeeth that speaks of the victorious group speaks of their victory in this world.

    (4) The words “until the decree of Allaah reaches them” refer to the wind or breeze that will come and take the soul of every believing man and woman. This does not contradict the hadeeth “A group of my ummah will remain victoriously supporting the truth until the Day of Resurrection,” because that hadeeth means that they will continue to follow the truth until that gentle breeze takes their souls just before the Day of Resurrection, when many other Signs of the Last Hour have already manifested themselves.

“He (Allaah) has ordained for you the same religion (Islamic Monotheism) which He ordained for Nooh (Noah), and that which We have revealed to you (O Muhammad), and that which We ordained for Ibraaheem (Abraham), Moosa (Moses) and ‘Eesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically) and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion)” [al-Shoora 42:13]

Allaah tells us that those who divide their religion and break up into sects, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has nothing to do with them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad) have no concern in them in the least” [al-An’aam 6:159]

  13. when you understand abrogation you;ll understand islam.

  14. over 125 sects in islam and they all love to butcher eachother

    lol

  15. no they follow different hadith. Sunni don't believe the hadith quoted by shia and sunni don't trust the Sunnis source but in fact all the sect read one QURAN but they don't follow the way God told in Qumran, they follow the things what their IMAMS told them.

thats the  main reason of having diffrent sect.

  16. the quran is very clear about everything.... but long time ago, muslims had wars against each other on the caliphate and ppl supported different sides and until today . they are still seperated .. but this is not in all countries. Morroco,Algeria,Tunisia,Libya,Egypt,Suda... do not really have alot of seperation.. but Iraq,Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia.. have alot of seperation and i witness it with my own eyes in saudi arabia... but ur right were all muslims...good luck convincing the others that ! ;)

  17. Because the Quran is not clear as to what Muslims should base their beliefs upon.

And the prophet's failure to appoint a successor or tell Muslims how to pick one.

  18. I agree with Sarah Alholandia; abc123; and ....I Love you...

The truth is, we have to sincerely search for knowledge.

And Allah made clear the truth from false.

Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made 3 duas for his ummah:

    1) to not let them ...(i can't recall)

    2) to not let them die from poverty,

    3) to not let them create sects or fight each other

Allah granted the first two dua only.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “..... The Children of Israel divided into 72 sects. My community will divide into 73 sects, and all of them will be in the Hellfire save one.”

The people asked him: “And which one will that be

He replied: “The one that follows what I and my Companions are upon right now.”

“And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allaah (i.e. this Qur'aan), and be not divided among yourselves...” [Aali ‘Imraan: 103]

note: it doesn't say hold fast togather to a rope, but hold fast to the rope of Allah, togather.  So either there is one, or ten or many people on the right path or not we are to stick to the correct path to Allah.

It is reported in Bukhari and Muslim upon the authority of Hudhaifah ibn al-Yaman,who said:

“The people used to ask Allaah's Messenger about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by it. So I said, "O Allaah's Messenger! We were living in ignorance and in evil, then Allaah brought to us this good (i.e., Islam); will there be any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I said, 'Will there be any good after that evil?" He replied, "Yes, but it will be tainted (not pure.)'' I asked, "What will be its taint?" He replied, "(There will be) some people who will follow other than my Sunnah and guide others with other than my guidance. You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others." I asked, "Will there be any evil after that good?" He replied, "Yes, (there will be) callers at the gates of the (h**l) Fire, and whoever will respond to their call, will be thrown by them into the (h**l) Fire." I said, "What do you order me to do if I reach that (time)?" He said, "Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam (ruler)." I said, "If there is neither a group of Muslims noran Imam (ruler)?" He said, "Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state.” [Bukhari]

  19. Yes they all follow the same Quran,, but they all have their own interpretation of it.

  20. The Prophet Muhammad (sa) said this would happen.  He also taught that when Imam Mahdi and Messih would come, Muslims would then begin to reunite as one.  Alhumdolillah Imam Mahdi and Messih has come in the person of Hazrat Ahmad (as).

Sunnis, Shias, Aga Khanis, Deobandis, Ahle Hadeeth, Ahle Quran, all sects of Islam are uniting in love and brotherhood as Muslims who have accepted the Imam Mahdi and Messih of the age.

Search "Revival of Religion" on YouTube for an excellent video.

    Allah bless all Muslims.

love for all, hatred for none

  21. Because some believe that Imam Ali (RA) should have been the first Caliph. Others believe that Imam Mahdi was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.

But there's still not many compared to, say, Christianity or Hinduism

  22. Well, yes, in theory you are all Muslim and you all follow the Quran, but it's a similar thing to Christianity. There are many, many, many people who practice Islam, and each person is going to interpret the Quran a little differently, which is where you get the different sects of Islam. It changes even more when the Quran is translated into other languages for those who can't understand Arabic. Obviously, many Muslims interpret as you need to live your life without hurting anyone, but then you have others who commit acts of terrorism.

    I hope that helps.

  23. No- Sunnis are called Ahle-Sunnat wal Jamait for reason. They deny Quran but love false fabricated Hadith which glorify their gods AbuBaker and Umer.

    Those Hadiths contradict quran.

Quran 3:61] If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"

Quran declared Fatima (as) a truthful. AbuBaker called her a liar. Sunnis made AbuBaker TRUTHFUL.

    What a hypocrisy!
