Why are there so many trees in the UK?

Where I live there are trees every where apart from the fields. North Lincolnshire.

  1. It's actually one of the least forested countries in northern Europe, so there are comparatively fewer trees.  Still, the forests used to be much more extensive in Britain as well.  The reason was that the climate in much of Europe was and is good for forests.
