I'm sure their are some people living in America that work and are below the poverty line but not Americans this can be solved close the boarders to end poverty.

Because being poor in America is considered reasonably wealthy in most other countries.  They can make statistics say whatever they want and they will adjust the bar accordingly.  Only in America can you be poverty-stricken and have Ipods, cell phones, and cable TV (probably incl. the "Premium" package)

I don't think you have given this question much thought OR you are very naive.

Do you know what the poverty line is?

that is the bare minimum for one person to

be able to pay rent, buy groceries, have

transportation, maybe health ins. is factored

in, etc.  Anyhow, it's an annual amount that

one person must have to live in the barest of

circumstances.

  I'm not sure what it is now, but I know I live

WAY BELOW it cause I'm a Senior Citizen.

let's say it's 26,000/yr. So what if a person

can't find a job paying that.  Or what if

they make $50,000 per year, but inflation is

so bad that everything they earn is going out for basics?

  Having a job has nothing to do with having

one's basic needs met.  In case you haven't noticed lately, there are very few jobs left.

All the good paying jobs went overseas.

because only 3 % is really sharing the wealth here...and middle class are even taxed more than those 3%...that paycheck you make cannot cover all of the bills and nevr will....and people can't go to school and can only afford to get good paying job...school is so d**n expensive that i don't know how they are expecting evrybody to get there even with those finacial , you end up with 30,ooo dollar  after your bachelor...go digure if it's worth it...and now things are getting worst, evrything is going ups, getting more and more expensive with the infaltion and the way the conomy is going....poverty is coming fast if nothing is done!

Well if you have enough children,

Someone making $50,000 a year, could be under the poverty line.

The only way to fix that issue,

Would be to base peoples pay,on how large thier famly is.

And were never gonna do that.

This is because an individual making minimum wage, working full time, still falls below the poverty line. As a matter of fact, two people living together both making minimum wage have a difficult time making ends meet.

Most jobs don't pay a living wage and most C.E.O.s and bosses don't want to pay a living wage nor want to advocate for a living wage. Plus if you add on the extremely high cost of living right now and a lot of unfair labor practices and of course taxes, you easily get a lot of poor folks who are still poor with a job or two or three. That whole line about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer seems to always come into play.
