  1. I dont know why people make them but it isn't fair to nature.


  2. Mostly because of the ill conceived policies pushed by the environmentalists

    20 and 30 years ago controlled burns were common place

    The the environmentalists came along and decided that this was a bad practice

    Now with all of the underbrush and dead wood being allowed to build up the fires that would be fairly small and insignificant have all the fuel they need

    It's called the law of unintended consequences

    It usually happens when you let knee jerks dictate policy
