Why are there still global warming doubters?

It seems a lot of people still doubt the rationale behind global warming even though essentially the entire intelligent community has come to that consensus.

It was getting warmer, now it's getting colder due to the oceans cooling effects (PDO, ADO and AMO). The IPCC states that the air warms the ocean so why is the ocean cooling? Especially since CO2 has spiked upwards since the record warm year of 1998. The number of dissenting voices is growing, especially since the World Meteorological Organization now states that we will probably be cooling until 2015 or later.

If you look at the hockey stick chart in Al Gore's movie, the one that shows the drastic spike in temp due to CO2, it does look like CO2 is driving temp. However, if you don't leave a gap between the readings as he did, it's clear from his own chart that CO2 only increases after warming. This causes the oceans to warm and release CO2. It doesn't matter how many people claim something, it won't make it true.

Claiming that this decade is the warmest ignores the fact that in a single year we've lost most of the warming it took a century of emissions to achieve. Or haven't you heard what an unusually cold year the whole globe had last year?

Saying we're politically driven is largely correct, we don't want to have the UN (thru the IPCC) take charge of every bit of CO2 we emit since that would give them total control. It isn't correct to say it's because environmentalism is the problem, it's certainly stupid to keep buying oil from our enemies and using it to pollute the air and water and you don't have to be an environmentalist to see that.

Never in the history of the Earth has CO2 caused warming on it's own, millions of years ago the CO2 level was 10 times higher than it is now and the Earth was in an ice age. Before that, it was 20 times higher than it is now and temp was only 7C warmer than it is today. The IPCC is trying to prop the theory up and keep everyone panicked, but it's difficult when the Earth is getting inconveniently cold.

Show me empirical evidence that CO2 causes warming in the real world. Then I will believe.

Sorry, I already know about the GHE, and probably far more than you do. All I need is one piece of empirical evidence (meaning: observations that were published in a peer reviewed study) that shows that increased CO2 causes warming in the real world. Just one. You got it?

And saying "it's in the IPCC" doesn't work. If it is, I need page numbers. If it is in a peer reviewed study, I need the title, authors, journal, and page number.

They are politically driven and have been taught to fear and distrust anything seemingly associated with environmentalism.  While much of the environmentalist movement in the past has gone overboard in various ways, they just happen to be right on the issue of global warming.  It's real and we need to address it intelligently.

Global warming is not totally man’s fault.  I honestly believe that the Earth goes through cycles.  History proves this to be a fact.  Our ignorance of the damage our technology produces only accelerated the process.

Global warming is not a hoax at all. It's the government and media that lead us to believe it is. Why do you think the polar bear aren't on the endanrged lis? the thing is people are trying to make change because we need it. It's hurdles like the media preventing that.The media has a very unique way of showing whats important the people watching. For some reason they do not show the importance of global warming. Why do you think they say climate change instead of global warming? The reason for this censorship is because industries release more gas than thousands of cars on the road. this planet is getting to hot.

The wheels are falling off of his campaign, he is losing scientists by the day and even mainstream media is starting to attack the global warming scam.  Your question should be, "Why are there still global warming alarmists?"
