  1. You could just as easily ask 'why are there things that eat stuff'

  2. I have wondered how many people died in the process of proving what was edible and what was not.

  3. It's a beautiful and complicated world, take a horticulture (links below) plant biology class, I think you would love it!

The formation of this planet and everything on it has been going on for millions of years.

There are things to eat because humans have tested everything out to see if it is edible.

Most things, from fruit to chicken has been selected by humans to be a certain way.

All those things that are poisonous, we discovered because someone ate it and DIED!

No one planted the first potato, we FOUND the potato, and then planted it's seeds everywhere...this took thousands of years for humans to figure out!

    An example is the apple.

It used to be smaller and more sour.  So people started changing the soil it grows in, how much water it gets, how high it gets to grow, they started to experiment with the apple tree in order to get a bigger, juicier, sweeter apple.

Certain chemical reactions created water, as well as soil, then more and different reactions created plants and animals...very slowly.

Fruit is healthy because in has vitamins and minerals contained in its flesh.  The plants have made it that way so that creatures want to eat it, and then spread it's seeds after pooing it out.

  4. if there wasn't we would die

  5. i planted the 1st potato. :)

  6. I put it down to Tesco's myself.

  7. God made this world as is...just live with it...
