  1. They aren't worms, they are the larvae of a type of weevil. The larvae and adults are commonly found in food that has been left out too long. Throw away that bag, and get her a new one. Check it for larvae before you buy it. Also, you may consider getting a tightly sealed plastic container to store her food in, this will help prevent the weevils from getting in again.

  2. wow

  3. maybe there were some eggs in it and they hatched...

    throw it out right away

  4. they will turn into little moth like bugs..happens quite frequently...if the food is less than fresh..and sometimes if it sits too long in a container thats not air tight..

you could check with the place you bought it..they should refund your money..it will affect the nutritional value of the food..thus the health of your hammy..

you can try puttin the new  food in the frige..in a air tight container..it keeps better that way.

def. throw all the old wormy stuff out..the birds will eat it up..

there are several good brands of food out there that may give you less trouble..worth lookin into. check with local pet store and feed stores..i would only use wal**** or grocery store brands as a last resort..they tend to be really old,and that means less nutrition..

    good luck
