i was remembering about the situation i was in back when i was in first grade. I remember that this boy was rude to me, and i was a defenseless shy girl. I never talked to him and never sat next to him, yet , he still would harrass me. Now the same thing is happening to my niece, she comes home crying that this boy is picking on her and it grinds my gears. We did a schedule with the teacher and the parent but the boy just nudged and didnt answer. What goes on their mind when they do that?

  1. Usually when kids are young, assuming your niece is in elementary, they pick on the girl they have a crush on. I remember I did that too :P

Unless it's serious, then the child's parents are probably the same way as him. In that case, try to set up some meetings with the principal or something.

  2. The boy probably likes your niece and that is his way of showing it or does not want to admit it. on the other hand people only pick on people who they think they can get the better of. If your niece seriously tells him off and embarrasses him in front of other people he may stop picking on her. But she has to be brave and fast with the mouth

  3. he probably seen his dad do it to his mom or he might lyk her or maybe nobody has tot him any better wat was his mom sayin cause if she was actin the way he was actin then somthin is goin on at ome

  4. The boy is begging for attention from your daughter.   Either he is trying to impress some other naughty kids and wants to seem cool to their  wretched click,  or he wants your niece to notice him,  or....  he is just an angry kid who has a miserable home life and needs to make a happy girl just as tormented as he is ..... remember - misery loves company.  Tell your niece to smile at him and shake him off.  He targeted her because he thinks she's an easy target.  She must be a sweet girl,  he'll stop bothering her if she does not react to his insults, it won't be as satisfying for him to bully someone who does not respond.
