  1. so it is true then? they are speeding up the clay..figures, didn't they do the same for Pete Sampras?

  2. I agree with Tennis Is Best for the first time ever. Its stupid, whats the point of a surface if your're gonna change it! What idiots upstairs thought it'd be a good idea to make Wimbledon slower and French faster... like actually, whats the reasoning behind this? The ATP is soooo dumb, no wonder the players seem to hate them. Kinda reminds me of officers in war time....

  3. d**n I don't like this business of slowing up one surface, speeding up another. Heck, isn't that why we have different surfaces in the first place? Why not just play everything on hard court instead?

Last year after Berdych lost to fed at wimby he said that the grass has gotten slower and more bouncy and rafa might be the only guy who can defeat fed on grass. At first, I was wtf how can u change the grass? It's natural.... how can u vary it's behavior? But then recently I read someone's post saying that they have switched to rye grass for wimby which makes it the 3rd fast GS. So, I guess that's how they are making wimby surface slower.

  4. Yea they are making the clay faster, probably to make things a little bit more interesting at the french this year. But there also making the grass at Wimbeldon slower. I believe we'll fet Fed versus Rafa finals at both these tournaments and they should be quite interesting with the changes in the surfaces.

  5. I think they make it harder or softer.

  6. They are makin it a bit faster. The clay at Hamburg is one of the fastest in the tour. It's gonna be slower than this. But faster than normal Roland Garos clay. Maybe they want to make the Fed- Rafa rivalry a bit more closer. That will make Rafa's reign at French a bit tougher.

Good news is Wimbledon is makin the surface slower. That shd help Rafa is bit too.

  7. If they are changing the clay at Roland Garros to be faster then Federer has a slight chance...and if theyre slowing down the grass at Wimbledon, then Rafa is improving by the minute....well thats what i would call order of play....
