Why are they doing this? Theyre so mean?

Did you know that Mars are still using animal rennet in their confectionery products. I got an email reply from them to day and this is what it said.

well thats interesting that they would answer you back but still thats all processed and fake food so regardless if it is vegetarian or whatever its still not real so i wont be eating none of those things because i only eat natural and organics

I personally haven't purchased any Mars' products since they decided that their vegetarian customers weren't important and changed the rennet to animal rennet without warning.  I took the personal decision to avoid their products completely.

I don't understand why someone who seems to have such strong views about vegetarians is reading questions in the vegetarian section.  If you are really that against it avoid the vegetarian section and save yourself and the rest of us a lot of grief.   It has got nothing to do with you if someone chooses to be vegetarian, as long as they don't try to lecture you on your decision to eat meat.

I do not eat any processed foods.  If you like chocolate, get real chocolate and make your own, or go to your local chocolatier and support their buisness.  Bring your friends.  Factory choclates have little flavor.  Making chocolate is an art.  Your local choclatier would actually work with you to make a candy that meets your specifications.

Do you ever read the newspapers? are you concerned with anyone else?

Take Burma for instance, there are millions of children that have not had a meal today, probably will not even have a drink of water thats fit for a human being to drink, they have nowhere to sleep tonight and you expect us to be worried about some little spoiled brat who is moaning because she cant make a decision out of 23 candy bars which one to buy and eat!!!

Thanks for posting this - I'll be passing this on to my veggie friends.  They sure keep this quiet!

And perhaps some of the other posters might like to educate themselves a little - being vegetarian and caring about other people are not mutually exclusive.  i am lucky enough to have many vegetarian friends, all of which are caring and compassionate people- to humans and animals.

And caring about others is not a sign of a weak mind - what a ridiculous thing to say.

and?!  why does it really matter... its just a cheap way to thicken sweets etc, just like making dog food out of horses or feeding goats to lions.

Don't know if any of you may of noticed, but next time you look in the mirror check out those pointy things in your mouth, there called teeth... and the extra sharp ones are called k9 teeth, they are used for tearing meat.

By not having a healthy, varied diet you are risking your own health... but don't worry, this answer will be deleted by the people who do not appreciate freedom of speech or different opinions.

we are omnivores, the dominant species of this earth... we have k9 teeth to tear meat & molar's for grinding veg/fruit, we were born to eat meat just as we were born to grow old and die.

By being a vegan or vegiterian i see it as a sign of mental weaknes & caring emotionaly for a weaker species.
