So I'm reading an article at work, and I was wondering... why are they killing the bees?

Considering all the bees that are going missing, wouldn't it just be better to relocate the hive? I'm sure there is some enviornmental faction out there that would loooove to do that.

  1. Nobody is sure just what is killing the bees. The worst problems seem to affect the travelling hives used to pollinate crops. Wild colonies seem to be doing the best. This suggests that pesticides may be involved somehow. No farmer is going to stop using pesticides and cut his own yield, especially if his competitors are not going to do the same.

  2. The greater problem is with domestic bees, honey bees, the ones that are transported all around the country to pollinate some of mans crops.  The media has done a great job of blowing it way out of proportion to the real world.

The honey bee is not native to North America.  So actually it can be considered an invasive species.  And no, there are not any "environmental factions" out there that are gonna come to the bees rescue.  I am sure if PETA hears about the will have protestors there in force.  It would be nice if the chruch would perhaps contact a local honey producer and see if they might be interested.  I kinda got a feeling it would be almost impossible to move the hive.  Or they could wait till winter when the hive goes dorment.  Or maybe they could contact God and see if God has a solution.
