  1. Public Schools say the strobe lights are there for safety reasons -- to improve visibility -- and should be operated when students are on both getting on and getting off the bus.....................

  2. without a strobe light? its a saftey hazard. its to catch the other drivers attention so that they know that kids are aboard.

  3. So the kids will think they are going clubbing and they will get on the bus.

Actually, its for safety, to make the buses more easily seen by other drivers, especially in fog and stuff

  4. Because people still can't seem to notice the flashing red lights and the stop sign arm on the left side of the bus...

You pretty much have to stop directly in some people's path of driving to get them to stop.

  5. are you serious? If so...hahahaha

oh and its so they can all go on the roof and dance. no..

    its just for safety..=]

  6. These strobe lights are meant to make the bus visible for a considerable distance in poor weather/ bad visibility.  The earlier vehicles can see the bus under poor driving conditions, the more time they have to slow down, particularly if the bus is loading or unloading passengers.

  7. They allow the school buses to be seen better, especially in poor weather conditions, such as rain or fog.  You may have also noticed white roofs on buses as well. Used mostly in the summer this is to reflect light thus keeping the temperature cooler in the bus.

  8. I'm guessing they think some people can't already see the bright yellow thing with all the flashing lights holding up traffic as it provides door to door service.

  9. to make other drivers more aware of the buses being in the area, there's way to many accidents with school buses and their trying to cut down on them, and it works ,good luck.

  10. They did a study that other drivers would notice the buses more with the white strobes on them.  It was to make the buses safer, and be seen easier.

Only thing is, it blinds ME at night, or catches my attention that should be on the road, not staring at a strobe trying to figure out what it is.
