Why are they saying smokers are social outcasts now?

on yahoo i was reading some questions and many were claiming smokers are social outcasts now.. is this true and why?

  1. I think, because there now is so much information about the hazards of it, to themselves as well as others. People are more informed now.

    Are they "social Outcasts", i think maybe they are getting to be, yes.

    Why, because of information getting to the public, and early education now., we have less children starting to smoke.

    Personally, i think there is a tendency to be inpatient with those who are still smoking, sometimes to the point of being rude. Smoker's i think for the most part, wish they weren't smoking, and most have tried over and over again to quit, and as long as they continue to try, they will one day succeed.

    I have seen where smokers are allowed to smoke, and people actually go up to them and tell them to put out their cigarette, and other rude things, this to me just aggravates a situation. Just my opinion.


  2. because their breath and clothes smell bad.

  3. because what they do is dangerous to non-smokers. and we all know they can quit.
