Why are they taking the mexico city race out of nationwide?

is it beacsue it is not in the usa or is there something wrong with the track.

  1. I guess its like Rockingham. Awesome race to watch but if it dont make maximum money then it gets scrapped.


  2. Well a track in Iowa was recently built that wants a Nationwide race and this is how they are going to get it.  No one really wants to go all the way down to Mexico truthfully.

    It really isn't worth it to go to Mexico.  

  4. Neither. They think that the stock car racing in Mexico is well enough developed that they are going to turn it over to another series like the Camping World West series. It will not be left completely but they feel it would be better for another series. The track was going to be used to develop racing in Mexico and they were successful.

  5. Poor attendance and huge logistics of getting all the cars to Mexico safely.

Not worth it just like should not be in Canada in the rain and untested waters!....  Not bashing the country or anyone from there..I just think they should have tested these tires before wet racing- and the cost to the teams due to the economy and costs of travel, lodging, etc.. sorry if I offend anyone

    They are having problems selling out the stands in here at home. Who is going to go outside of the country to watch a race, travel a great distance??? Now if they held a Cup race outside the country, then maybe. But not NNS,

  10. The primary reason for not going back is the drop off in attendance also the cost to the teams of traveling there

  12. If I remember an article I read correctly, NASCAR ran in Mexico to gain peoples' interest in it's Mexican racing series, The Corona series or something like that. I could be wrong however.

  13. Not enough revenue.  I think all races should be in n the USA though.  However, I like the Montreal race.
